Also can be used to make double layered jackets, sweatshirt etc. 100% Cotton pique knit type can be used to make collar shirt / Polo shirts. They make good semi formal attire with a blazer/coat. 100% polyester honeycomb knit type can be used as a sports t-shirt. Polyester helps to evaporate the sweat and keep cool during sports. Also used to make gym suits and other sports application. Also there are several other fibres like tencel, rayon, chiffon, Georgette etc… but for t-shirts the above mentioned are primarily used. While I don’t know the extent of where you will be going. I am going to presume it could be chilly enough so I would recommend a light jumper or jacket to go with it. I would probably recommend a cotton/wool jumper over something with a polyester lining since it is just a t-shirt you have on underneath. Otherwise it could cause uncomfortable sweating. There are definitely special shirts that can be worn over a T-shirt! I love finding button-downs that have a little bit of extra room in the chest area so that I can still wear a cute bralette underneath. Off-the-shoulder tops are also great for layering over a T-shirt – they add a touch of femininity and can make any outfit look a little bit more put-together.

‘Rules’ in style aren’t really something I have any interest in perpetuating, and a shirt over a t-shirt isn’t one of my favorite looks (a jacket over a shirt is much better), but a few personal thoughts in any case: -This sort of outfit might as well embrace its own casual nature. Leave the outer shirt completely unbuttoned to sway in the breeze, and the t-shirt either tucked or untucked as desired. -On the same note, might as well skip the slick bright dress shirt, and wear something darker, with more casual pattern or personality. With this look, think of it as treating your outer shirt as a makeshift jacket; if you wouldn’t wear a power blue jacket over a black dress shirt, why would you wear a powder blue dress shirt over a black t-shirt? Dark, low-contrast plaids are your friend here. -A bit of pattern to the t-shirt (versus a plain white one) also helps to signal that it’s actually meant to be seen. This makes you look a little more like you put yourself together in a casual way, and less like you’re just flashing an undershirt because you’re too sweaty to keep your buttons fastened.
